Atomization and Sprays

ILASS Institude of Liquid Atomization and Spray Systems
Organization of researchers, industrial practitioners and students engaged in professional activities connected with the spraying of liquids and slurries. Annual technical conferences are organized by each of the ILASS organizations America, Asia, and Europe. ILASS international is an overarching coordinating board made up of representatives from the three regional ILASS groups.

Atomization and Sprays
International peer-reviewed scientific journal published monthly by Begell House. Founded by Professor Norman Chigier in 1991, it presents original archival-quality research on the physical structure of liquids undergoing breakup and on their interaction with gaseous flow and solid surfaces.

Quality Control

Nasal Sprays
“Guidance for Industry” published by the US Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA') Centre for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) titled Bioavailability (BA) and Bioequivalence (BE) Studies for Nasal Aerosols and Nasal Sprays for Local Action. This guidance document outlines the testing that may be carried out in order to assess drug bioavailability during nasal product quality studies in support of new drug applications (NDAs) or abbreviated new drug applications (ANDAs).

Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)
In August 2002 the FDA-CDER created the Process Analytical Technology (PAT) initiative to encourage technologies that provide, e.g., greater insight and understanding of processes, feedback controls, potential for significant reduction in production and development time, and minimize risks of poor process and product quality.
